The Silk & My Silky Way The Silk and My Silky Way
The first meeting with a silk painting is always surprising.

Surprising thanks to the special union of two elements: on the one hand, colours or dyes (deep and cheerful, vibrant); on the other, the silk (with its excepcional brightness and smoothness, unlike traditional canvas or paper pictures, or another natural fabrics such as cotton or wool).

These excepcional features make of silk a versatile and wonderful way of artistical expression, which can be used for clothing and interior decorating (for instance, with bright and colourful pictures).

   In My Silky Way these special characteristics of colours and silk get together to strengthen the brightness and cheerfulness, due to colourful, funny and a little bit naïf designs. Thus, silk is transformed to something unique, different and full of life. Each one of these items (both pictures and clothes) is handmade, in a craft process that force them not to be equal. The way in which colours fuse together is always different and new, and one of the reasons why this art is so special.

   My Silky Way silk painting defines a personal way to understand this "silk art", always looking for an extensive range of colours, shades and contrasts in any one of these craft pieces, prefering pure and vibrant colours which mix and fuse together to catch the light on the silk and give it back increased thanks to this fabric characteristics. In the same way, nacreous (coppery, silvery, golden) details boost this effect.

   "My Silky Way" is a play on words with "The Milky Way". Thus, "My Silky Way" defines an own way to understand silk: the silk paintings try to express the art creativity in a cheerful and optimist work, to bring (why not?) happiness, because usually we become what we are surrounded with...

   Never what you try to show is what the other one really finds. This is sure when we are talking about silk painting, because a thousand photographs never could replace the fact of touching silk, its smooth and brightness.
